10 Then[a] the fifth angel[b] poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast so that[c] darkness covered his kingdom,[d] and people[e] began to bite[f] their tongues because[g] of their pain. 11 They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their sufferings[h] and because of their sores,[i] but nevertheless[j] they still refused to repent[k] of their deeds.
12 Then[l] the sixth angel[m] poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates and dried up its water[n] to prepare the way[o] for the kings from the east.[p]
